Regardless of the install method, you should manually remove configuration files and game saves. These are stored in different Library folders. The safest way to access these hidden folders is:
Delete the extracted directory using your file manager or execute rm -rf ~/renpy- -sdk/ in the terminal. Phase 2: Clear Hidden AppData and Cache Folders
Navigate back to the hidden data folder specified in Step 2 ( %appdata%/RenPy on Windows or ~/.renpy on Linux). uninstall renpy

Use pkill or close the terminal window running Ren’Py.
Normally, deleting Ren’Py won't delete your game projects if you saved them in a separate directory. However, if your project folders are located inside the main Ren’Py directory, they will be deleted along with the app. Phase 2: Clear Hidden AppData and Cache Folders

Click in the top menu bar, hold down the Option (Alt) key, and click Library . Inside the Library folder, open Application Support . Find the folder named RenPy . Drag the RenPy folder to the Trash . Step 3: Clear Saved Application States
Open your Applications folder or wherever you dragged the Ren'Py SDK folder. Move to Trash: Drag the renpy folder to the Trash.
